FAQs
How should I RSVP?
· You should RSVP on this website AND by booking your room at the resort through the travel agent Amy Jo. The link to the booking website is on the travel page of this website and on the QR code of the physical invitation. Please RSVP by April 1st 2025.
How do I book my room at the resort to attend all of the wedding events?
· You must book your stay at the resort through the booking link/website through our travel agent, Amy Jo with JCo Travel. This link can be found on the travel page here or the QR code on the invitation. We have reserved a block of rooms for everyone with three different room categories. More information about the resort and travel details are included on the booking website!
Are children able to attend the wedding?
· Unfortunately, the resort only allows guests that are 18 or older so no children will be able to attend. We hope that you can take this time to enjoy an adults only relaxing trip and celebrate with us.
Do I need passport to attend the wedding?
· Yes! The resort is located in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Information on how to obtain a passport can be found on the booking website from the travel agent (linked on travel page of this website). If you already have a passport, make sure it does not expire soon!
What will the resort be like once we get there?
· The resort is all-inclusive meaning that once you arrive, you won’t need to do anything but sit back and relax! All of your food and drinks (alcoholic and non) will be included. You will receive welcome drinks as you check in and then can explore one of the many pools, relax in your room with a balcony or patio, or get dinner at one of the amazing restaurants! There are constantly activities going on at the resort so download the RCD hotels app to see the daily activities which are included. Additional activities that are not included are excursions off the resort, the spa, and the salon (the last two are discounted compared to sticker prices). Rylee and her mom, Krisha, have been to this resort twice already and have had the most relaxing times!
What events, other than the ceremony and reception, would you like us to attend?
· We would love to spend time with all of our guests Thursday evening as you arrive and Friday as we would like to spend time together as a new couple after the wedding day since we will not be having a honey moon. We would love to see everyone on Thursday evening at the welcome cocktail hour (private event for our group) and dinner at the Mura House Japanese Steakhouse (optional, individual reservations). On Friday, Rylee and Brendan plan to be lounging around the pools at the resort and would love to see everyone as you go about your day! We will not be having a traditional rehearsal dinner Friday, but we would love to have dinner at the same restaurant with anyone and drinks before or after at one of the resort bars! More information for events can be found on the schedule page.
We are not able to make it to the wedding ceremony. How can we still support and celebrate your marriage?
· We understand that there could be many reasons you cannot attend the wedding, but we would still love to celebrate with you! In lieu of a local reception after the destination wedding, we will be having an engagement party June 28th, 2025 in central PA close to where Rylee grew up and would love to have you there! More information will be sent out via formal invitation.
Is there a dress code or things we should avoid wearing?
· The resort is a five-star beach resort so most restaurants encourage elegant casual attire for dinners. During the day, swimwear, beachwear, sun dresses, and casual attire are acceptable attire as we spend most of the day at the beach or the pool! For the wedding ceremony and reception, please avoid wearing whites, creams, ivories, and other colors traditionally reserved for the bride. Also avoid wearing jeans, t-shirts, or casual activewear. Colorful and fun dressy casual attire is encouraged such as pinks, blues, purples, and oranges, etc! Please feel free to dress up as much as you would like! We want everyone to feel their best.
How do we get to and from the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception?
· All events will be held at the resort and you will be able to walk from each location to the other!
Am I able to take photos at the wedding and post them on social media?
· Yes! Please take as many photos as you would like because we would love to have as many memories from the day as possible. You do not have to wait to post on social media until after the wedding, just please tag us so we can enjoy the pictures too! :)
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
· The ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, weather permitting. The after party will be indoors.
Who should I contact if I have any dietary restrictions or allergies?
· You can contact Rylee if you have an dietary restrictions so she can let the resort know before planning the menu! We will make sure to have something great for everyone.
Will there be an open bar?
· Yes! It is an all-inclusive resort so your drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are included with your stay the entire time!
Who should I contact if I have more questions?
· If you have more questions about the wedding in general, things happening at the resort, schedules, etc, please reach out to Rylee (717-504-0906) or Brendan (724-710-0288) via text or call. If you have questions specifically about the resort or traveling, please contact our travel agent Amy Jo! Amy@JCoTravel.com (814-386-6111).
Do you have a wedding registry?
· Your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could ever ask for so please do not feel like a traditional gift is expected. This is a very non-traditional wedding! If you still feel that you would like to honor us with a gift, you can find our registry here or there are options to gift us experiences at the resort during our stay.
